Chris's Story
I was not born a poor black child, but I was born and I was a child.  I don't think you can do better than that for a start.

The world is a strange and not always wonderful place for a little homo trying to find his way.  But enough of philosophy.

I came to standup by a long route which included stints in theater, musical theater, slaving as a computer drone and getting an MBA.  (What was I THINKING?!)

I took a break in 1994 to pursue the fruits of "regular existence" (Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.) and I've been back "in the life" since 1997, travelling all over the country from New York to Sequim.

In 1997, I co-founded "Three Dollar Bill", a Gay and Lesbian comedy troupe that's been leaving them in stitches - and looking FABULOUS - all over the Northwest.

Not be boastful, but when folks leave my shows they all say, "Now that was one funny little fag!"

In April of 2001 I relocated to Minneapolis to flex my acting muscles.  I was featured in Rick Anderson's production of  "Party" at the Loring Playhouse from June 1 through July 28, 2001.  It was a great show, drawing fans from both coasts and raves from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.  (They called me the "ever-sparkling mirror ball of this party".  Who wouldn't love THAT?)  If you missed it, well, I'm sorry.

I followed up the "Party" with a run in a fabulousy updated version of "Godspell" - set in a Gay bar!  It worked and we weren't struck dead.  Must have been a winner.

Since getting back to the Great Northwest, I've made comedy appearances in my old haunts and hit the stage again.  September saw me rocking away as Dvornichek in Tom Stoppard's "Rough Crossing" and I've now gone serious as Father Callahan in "No Middle Ground", a new work by Jeff Stilwell.

I started 2003 with a return to my musical roots, playing multiple roles in Civic Light Opera's production of Lerner and Lowe's "Gigi", which ran
April 24 through May 17.

And what bio would be complete without the ubiquitous credit list?
